If my mom doesn't already buy it for me, I need to buy KOF14 and a ps+ online subscription but idk if it's even worth it

So I suggest you to save for something like Peach Beach Splash since you'll probably like it more than w/e is free on PS+

PBS won't come to western shores for at least 1-2 years because of localization so that'd be a long wait, and I don't really wanna pay for it but I have to get ps+ so I can play the games I own with friends

Exactly, plus a year is a long period of time, I got my first sub. last December on Christmas day and you get a lot of free stuff and cloud storage for data corruption. It's only a bad deal if you're not playing on ps4 much to begin with since you wasting it that way.

I understand PS+ for deals, half prices, free games... But not online features such as cloud storage and multiplayer.
AT LEAST it's not 50$ a month.

the deals are so random each month, half prices are always the same games, free games are crappy Indie's, Online play and cloud storage is the ONLY neat thing indeed.

Yakuza 5 was free with PS+ one time, I heard. But it's not an excuse.

The free games aren't always so good. I got SR4 Gat out of hell and that was bullshit. They only seem to want to feature games that are bad in general...

But the free games are not the problem, it's the fact you have to pay for online play with friends and for cloud storage. I could do at least one of those things for free with my PS3.

Servers are really expensive and it's totally fair to pay 50 a year for that.

Oh man, I remember when Sony fanboys shat on Microsoft for Xbox Live. How the times have changed.

I have both and a pc and I'm not on anyone's side.

My point is, yes, I don't doubt servers are expensive, but clearly they saw how many paid for Xbox Live and how making people pay for basic online services is not a loss in profit.
How can you defend this when PS3 let you play with your friends without paying?:/ And so did many other consoles. I just don't get why we customers are getting walked over with things like these.
As if Sony was poor, too.
