that's more money than I have at the moment. Already gonna hafta momentarily return the tv to make rent lol. But like i'm playing my ps3 on this tv and its having the same problem. Especially anything red is almost indecipherable on the 40 inch. Playing Kingdom Hearts HD and the jaggies are ridiculous compared to playing on the 32 inch

Why not? I play on a 32 inch so maybe would be good for you as well. Never found a need to play on a 40 inch when it comes to gaming.

i originally bought the 32 inch but figured i might as well pay like 30 more for an upgrade, but considering i'm only like 3-4 feet from the tv to begin with, it may have been a bad call lol. do they do 32 inch 4ks?

If so then yeah you should definitely go back down to 32inches.
If its a UHD TV then Keep it..... it will pay off down the line..... eventually. Until then you must Suffer through the Jaggies and Pixelation.
