Of course, they're inevitably caught by the old "hipster catch 22," where consistently being a contrarian makes you no more idiosyncratic than the banal commoner.
In the first place opinions aren't right or wrong, they are points of view, and regardless of how many people share the same opinion it's still an opinion. Opinions and facts are two different things. But people are free to agree with others points of views as much as they like, critical thinking is a lost art anyway.
