depends i guess. i can't play king of fighters xiv because it's too confusing and advanced but other games like doa and mortal kombat etc. have casual aspects that are enjoyable

I think Anyone who self identifies as "Hardcore" is someone who should be avoided at all costs.

It's bullshit imo, you don't javelin to be a hardcore gamer to play fighting games. I myself play competitively but I'm also pretty casual too, like I like DLC and other cosmetic stuff while also enjoying the gameplay and studying my characters. In general it's all about the fun as well as the challenge

Anyone can play fighting games, it's elitist to believe that only a select group can play. However certain "demographics" are more likely to whine like salty scrubs than others.

All good points As for myself i obviously think its dumb, and all the ''hardcore'' people are usually the ones who play online only and act like they're aiming for number 1 and degrade everyone not as good as them yet. Something i notice is the offline players always seem nicer than online only players.

@Lulu: I'm a hardcore collector of certain comic books and still considered a pretty chill individual to the folks who matter to me. They saw no need to avoid me at all costs just for being "hardcore" at something. Where'd you get this from?

@Awesmic Video comments, people in lobbies. The usual places you see nothing but hate lol.. i think people take the term a little differently when its about competition though.
