Me? truth be told, I am actually bored of the game. But people were also bored near the end of Vanilla and 5U and yet they still managed to find ways to entertain themselves while enjoying it for what it is. Lately? FSD has gone slightly more "meh" than it has ever been lmao. A new game wouldn't really fix that problem since they'll get bored with it within the year.

Ya I getcha. It's nice we have a mix of casuals, competitives, mix of both (moi) and even the occasional roleplayer if they don't take the crap too far lol

Depressing cause DOA hasn't done much updates so there's not much to talk about? 95% sure DOA6 will be announced next year though ^_^

Funny thing is, FSD is actually a great site. Better than living under the rocks GFAQS or any other DOA forum. Though FSD has been getting users who are more prone to make a statement of things while believing they have a bigger chest on the matter until proven otherwise.

Believe it or not, I even got a history lesson on the term "shade" weeks ago which is actually perfectly fine and dandy, until one user decided to step out the line in a PM to explain it with a personality of that of a narcissist like on a higher pedestal of history lessons explanations? nah that stuff will get wiped off the map fast.

ughh i hate narcissists! They don't realise how much they can destroy someone's self esteem, or how bad it can get if it's already destroyed.

Well it's been Facebook for God knows how long, so I can't say I'm surprised. FSD is essentially just a hangout now for people that have a passing interest in DOA.

FSD now compared to back then? you had to be at least slightly surprised. Granted that some of what it is now, was around back then but it wasn't as potent.

Nah, it's always been a bit of a hangout. The difference a few years ago is that at least there was relatively more people that at least somewhat tried to contribute to productive competitive discussion instead of just posting status updates or bullshitting in casual-minded threads. It is what it is though. I'm just rolling with it.

Could be possibly true, yeah. Casual players and one or two casual discussion can be important and healthy communication too though. There is an off balance for sure regarding FSD. Other FG forums have the similar issue in reverse and more vocal about this so a bit glad FSD is not on that type of level. It might be someday.

Hm, perhaps I could go back to my old ways before I was passive-aggressive and return to the old ways of trolling and recording footage of DOA voices within the net for player enjoyment and humor. Could bring some old life back.

It's a very awkward Catch-22 situation for DOA. If you want a site with productive competitive discussion, you're going to attract very few individuals, and likely will alienate the more relatively lesser experienced or casual members. However, if you try to counteract this by allowing casual minded members to run amok in order to increase overall activity & traffic, the site turns into a proverbial shitshow.

It has to do with the major problem that has plagued the DoA community for years. A vast majority of the high level players don't talk to anybody. This is from my experience. There are a few exceptions, and even then, they're very closed when talking about the game. Only one person comes to mind who is always open and willing. I'm sure we can guess who that person is.

It hasn't turned into Tumblr, just a small clique of the same 12 people running the forum. Personally I've moved on to other social outlets until I feel I'm worthy enough to contribute anything here. In this case, if I ever get a PS4 to keep up with everyone else.

@Awesmic There is definitely a clique sort of thing on FSD within members, cliques are alright depending on what it is. I prefer mods to run the show though, group members not mods running FSD threads makes me more aggressive towards such situations. Annoying probably. It's whatever though.
