Is he in need of major buffs?

I personally dont think so, just a few move adjustments and he should be fine. Mainly related to whiff recovery and advantage on a few moves.

Can't say major buffs since the character can still win, it's the risk reward of his attacks that can literally increase the odds from the opponent to dismantle you for minimum effort. What I enjoy about Raidou is that he's one of the few characters with a shit ton of deep stuns to where a few situation become unstaggerable and thus they "have" to guess whether he'll launch or he'll throw you for holding so much.

But getting in to initiate those situations is the hard part, not because of spacing or any of the sort. That's all character dependent and varying skill gap with two players, it's getting those setups to work when as planned and then finding out that the opponent can immediately hold fastest while Raidou is still recovering from the attack thus leaving him at -1 -2 etc.

Basically there is situations to where the opponent can do something ridiculously easy and silly and get a reward for it. Raidou has a few moves in his arsenal where he simply has terrible recovery upon whiff or landing on hit. 4PK isn't that great and his fireball is actually pretty useless unless you are dealing with one who gets caught by it most of the time.

He can still win of course without a doubt, he has the juggle damage to which I have no issues with at all. It's the odd part that you have to play and approach in a weird way that is towards against the player itself and not actually against the character they are using in both placements.

Me personally? I'm fine and dandy with how Raidou is since people have to screw up eventually, I do feel he could get some improvements but that's solely just my thoughts on that and up to TN if they feel the need to improve him. This sounds like a typical "Oh well, these characters needs improvements too so Raidou shouldn't get any special treatment." post but up to them if they want to absorb that feedback or not.

That's the longest "no" I've read in a while.

So I suppose you can provide a better explanation as to why? Oh sure lol, let's just say no to whatever doesn't please them. It's not like you can provide a better one. Enlighten me.

The better answer was "no." Consider yourself enlightened.

In other words "I Brute, simply do not like things that isn't Hayabusa related or any types that vastly doesn't improve Hayabusa to fit my needs. Clearly I know what's best for Raidou and that answer is no."

In other words: "Raidou's moveset was completed in TN's 15-minute lunch break before Last Round was announced in a lazy attempt to justify a fourth iteration of the same game. Expecting care and attention to be put into his aesthetics or gameplay post-launch is absurd given that none were afforded since his very inception."

It's four paragraphs shorter than your response and it actually addresses the heart of the issue. You're welcome.

Absolutely. Given that some people actually gave a fuck attempt for the character to the fullest. Some people don't just test drive a character and say "Wow, Raidou is great already. I'm having so much fun while determining his use versus bad players not reacting to his shit, therefore it should work against good players."

Irrelevant, but okay. Thanks for sharing.

DestructionBomb
No it isn't. You don't seriously play the character to determine how exactly the shit works.

You are welcome.

Oy. Tone it down, @Brute. No need to get testy.

You are making an argument akin to the logic behind descriptive representation. The problem with these types of arguments is that they are inherently ad hominems. You have decided that the assessment is inaccurate based solely on your perceived evaluation of the person who posited the perspective, rather than the perspective itself.
