I’m sorry but you didn’t really came with good arguments on why he should be in the game, the only arguments you came with were: “I like him” and “we lack cool male characters”

The males in DOA are diverse, they all have different personalities and nationalities unlike the female characters. Not all male characters are supposed to be “cool” bass isn’t a edge lord type of character, zack neither. And it’s funny how you called Hayate “cool” when he’s the most bland character in the game with literally no personality or something else that’s supposed to make him stand out.

I mean shit, Ein, his amnesia Alias, has more personality than Hayate ever had . And his alias was only temporary. Hayate is far from cool, he’s literally as bland as flour. He’s only somewhat interesting because he’s Kasumi’s brother.

We could definitely use a male character I agree on that and yes the game is focused mostly on Kasumi since this is her game. And Zack isn’t supposed to be cool he’s supposed to be a clown/funny. Rig is supposed to be mysterious, not cool. And I don’t see what makes Hayate cool besides his gameplay. He has no personality and is the basic stoic ninja. Who’s personality you can describe with one word: flour.

Ok, i am watching the video now, i do have some points to make here:
-Neither Ryu or Hayate were edgy. I could say they tried to make ryu a bit revenge-based on NGblack, and a bit "conflicted" in NG3RE, but the most predominant Ryu we have is the "Justice hero Ryu Hayabusa", which is the best.
