That is good to hear. I know Tom Lee & Team Ninja are cool with Tekken so I'm glad to see Harada giving DOA a chance. With DOA & Tekken being the only current gen 3D fighters, both fighting franchises need to stay afloat and remain relevant along with supporting each other as possible.
I can say with confidence that being good at DOA5LR definitely helps out in Tekken 7. However, I can't accurately comment on if being good at Tekken helps out in DOA5LR. I find that some Anime/SF/KOF/2D players can struggle in learning DOA, though VF players pick up the game fairly easily.
I know the good things that Tom Lee says about Tekken. TN does their part to support the 3D fighter scene. SEGA/AM2 distributed DOA5UA and licensed 4 VF characters for the DOA5 series. There's no real beef between the big 4. It's just useless egos from fanboys & fangirls.
They just know it too well.
