Like, they're still "good" but now everything is so focused on the esports sides of things that they forget about what got 90% of consumers buying their games lmaooo
For me, it would be having a good enough base game where I don't have to spend even more money to make it more fun (SFV), DLC characters are quite breaking for me as I have to spend money to learn how to fight them, though I'm not particularly against it. I miss the lengthy offline modes like SC2's weapon master, Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign. The good shit you know?
While it's hard to do well, and I do enjoy playing online still, some days I want to play the game without complaining about balance, netcode, and *important missing characters*. DOA legit has the most complete roster out of all the new fighters out there. The only character and move set that they've scrapped is probably Genra and Nicole (remind me of anybody that is still missing).
"DOA has the most legit roster out of all the new fighters". I mean.. over the course of DOA5 vanilla to DOA5LR they've added 12 total characters to the roster, which all current games do now. So DOA is really the same as all these other fighters in terms of character roster.
