To further improve as a player, I suggest in future fighters (especially DOA) they expand on the fight records to show stats against characters. This way, people can know who they're good and or bad against and this can lead to a more accurate depiction of how characters match-up instead of going to "eventscrubs" for answers or whatever.

It can help with making tier lists and it can help with people in tourneys to see who to lab a lot. Basically now, I feel I'm going off intuition and though some match-ups can be clearly seen as bad for me or whoever, I think if there's a more statistical outlook on match-ups, I can look to labbing them more often to see what I'm messing up on.

You don't really need stats to know which characters you have trouble fighting against, you already find that out when you're fighting against them. Also, it doesn't really help with making tier lists. If I was a Christie player and I have a lot of trouble fighting Mai it doesn't prove that Christie is at disadvantage. It only proves that I have trouble fighting Mai. Match ups vary per person.

Let me explain the scenario with the tier list and the example given: If one person struggles against Mai with Christie, yes it doesn't show anything. That kinda shows who you as an individual struggles with. But if there are multiple people who share the same struggle, then it's possible that it can show Christie at a disadvantage. Not to say there aren't people who succeed against them...

And it kinda can be a challenge to look at in regards to skill-level since for example, my Mai plays different from Hollow's Mai and your Christie plays different from BlackBerry Christie. However, I think it can be a good resolution to seeing how characters Match-up comparing one's stats to like the "world" or whatever and not going by.....

4-6 or whatever MU odd comes up (That I cannot find anywhere) or anything "eventhub" related. And it can help to see "Ok my stats show that I struggle with _______, let me lab them to see where I'm struggling" or "Damn, I'm struggling against _______, but _________'s _________ isn't struggling against _________. Let me see what he/she does against this MU and let me try to model my strategy from that foundation".

Or even "Damn, I suck against _________, but the stats show that _________ struggles against ____________. Could this mean that _________ is at a disadvantage. Let me think of possible pockets or try to come up with something to counter this." So many scenarios I can think of. Instead of going by intuition or eyesight. Cause it can sometimes just be the player I struggle against.

Sorry. I wrote the declaration of independence on this subject, but I do feel it would be beneficial.

If multiple people struggle vs Mai it doesn't prove anything. A shared opinion isn't a fact. People already create tier lists by comparing the characters stats with each other.

Actually @T..J. Bernard I think this is a pretty good idea imo. Have you been trying this out lately?

I might do this in 2018 and see how much data I can keep for myself with Character-related stuff. @Glitterati
