@Chisa I actually feel the opposite, Chloe is waay better protag than Max but I never really liked Max and the whole rewind thing while a cool idea just didn't really encourage playthroughs.
I disagree it's pointless, knowing Rachel goes missing doesn't have anything to do with BtS's story. BtS is just a filler game but it puts into perspective why Chloe was so adamant about finding Rachel and their relationship.
Didnt they say BtS was the prequel of the original game? Anyway I loved that they focused on their relationship but at the same time, I wish they spent more time on Chloe. Especially since Chloe mentions that she went through a hard time when Max wasnt there, and how Rachel became her angel.
It takes place 3 years before season 1 so story wise its completely unrelated. Its a prequel in the sense its Arcadia Bay and its characters since Season 2 is confirmed to be about a new location and new characters.
Also, Chloe was explored quite a bit its just mostly in her journal entries to "Max" and her dreams(and the secret journal entries and texts in said dreams)
@UpSideDownGRUNT My biggest issue with Chloe is that she blamed others all the time. She was too irresponsible to be likable in my eyes. Max has her faults as well but i found her actions more thoughtful.
I must say BTS had some problems with some other characters relationship. Like Samantha/Nathan and David/Chloe. They gave us a choice to give ''happy ending'' for both pairings but we know that doesn't matter because in original game Chloe and David still doesn't get a long and Nathan is still snaps.
