Disclaimer: I have nothing against PC gaming and am contemplating saving up for a better gaming PC this year, but for some reason I have difficulty getting into PC gaming consistently.
tbh i've had a fairly high end gaming rig for years. Still prefer gaming on my console. Computer for work, console for gaming, is my mentality. At least i dont need to check to see if my ps4 can actually run the new games lol.
I play both but mainly PC, by cheaper I think they mean that there are way more free-to-play games on the PC than on consoles. And most of them are really great games with a lot of playtime.
I wouldn't say cheaper, but I built my PC for around 500 which is the same as current gen, but I get more out of it. Better graphics, wider library, and easy options for upgrading. Later down the line I won't have to buy another PC but just upgrade parts. But console has a bigger player base, and its more comforting to be able to play my console on the couch or in bed.
Well... because they're elitists. Elitists have this mindset that they're better than everybody. I think PC's are for work/school related things, not gaming. But that's my opinion
Some good answers in here, thanks guys. @Fiend Busa Yeah, I try to play on all platforms and will likely get a Switch later too around when Bayonetta 3 drops. Console platform wars are dumb and are just borne out of trying to justify one's purchase.
The cheaper digital games is a large aspect that some elitists bring up with regards to PC being "cheaper" overall. An interesting tidbit is that I can't remember the last time I spent $60-$80 on a game and I have over 50+ disc-based PS4 games now. I think the inability to trade or sell PC games hurts their value a bit. Though Steam is amazing for the PC Platform.
