I'm speaking about how people say Game Journalism is invalid whenever a Reveiwer sucks at playing a game.

Because the reviewer is showing an opinion based on inexperience of the game's design

If youre going to critique a game you should atleast know the game's mechanics

Game reviewers base their opinions often on popularity of the game, DOA and Tekken are perfect examples of that. Tekken is very popular and game reviewers always say how good tekken is. But when they review DOA it gets called a titty game and is getting shitted on.

Game reviewers often have no experience when it comes to games. All they do is play like 30 minutes and then proceed to post their opinions of that game online. Game reviewers should base their reviews on the opinions of long time players. They can tell you what the game has to offer and what it lacks.

If you don't have the knowledge or experience, you shouldn't be reviewing games in the first place. Simple as that.

Unfortunately thats only half the story... Fact is Inexperience is certainly part of the gaming experience and I think its important to know what the game is like to someone playing it for the first time...

I think this gets overlooked alot.... the most recent example being the Cuphead Controversy Starring Dean Takahashi.
