Free Step Dodge

I've never played it but since you brought these games up, I've been wondering what you think. I'm not big into shooters but I enjoyed doom '16 and I've always been interested in binary domain but never played it (I'm tempted tho BC I saw it for a nice price on steam). Your thoughts?

I don't know about Binary Domain but Vanquish is abit hard to reccomend.

Unlike Doom... in Vanquish the Projectiles move too fast and are way too many to dodge.

As soon as you pop out of cover you'l start taking damage.... take too much damage and the game will activate AR Mode.... draining your entire AR Bar.... which I wish there was a way to turn off.

Also there are no Ammo Boxes. If you ran out of ammo you need to find another gun of the same type lying around somewhere.

Weapon Upgrades are even worse... weapon upgrades are dropped randomly when you kill an enemy or when you pick up a weapon you already have in your inventory while its fully loaded.

I guess I should say something good about the game too.... okay uhm.... The Boss Fights were pretty good... so long as the Boss isn't surrounded by baddies. They might seem spongy but there are ways to do massive Damage to most of them.

You can come up with some cool ways to play by combining some of the mechanics together... infact this seems to be the whole point of Vanquish.

The game was designed as a bullet hell shooter with the emphasis on speed. While you do get penalized for using cover, it's still there as an option. You just gotta be fast and accurate.

I do agree that the "last chance" AR mode should be something to disable. Hell, when the PC port first came out there was a coding flaw that tied damage to frame rate, so 60fps = double damage. Take like 2-4 shots and you're already in last chance lmao
