    What’s up with the trend of special attacks getting armour? Especially in 3D it makes 0 sense.

    This isn't a new concept. Property and priority works a bit different in 3D games. If you want the move to have more emphasis on being high priority, giving armor is a way to do it. The armor here implies that you have the option to punish it. Be it block then attack or a particular response such as a throw.

    The idea of supers having armor in a 3D fighter is taken from the concept that supers from many 2D fighters have invincibility, but the con is if it is blocked you get a full punish. The idea of supers in general are taken from 2d fighters. Geese and Akuma are from fighting games where the climax can't be interrupted tekken is only following suit.

    It's not like DOA (supers) where you have parry frames, and you're plus on block.

    Since Eliot has inherited, both in story and gameplay, some of Gen Fu's moves, I think its time to retire the old man unless if they want to make him story relevant again or just to release him as dlc. I would only like Ein back just because he is my main and he's pretty much a cooler Hayate.

    People really out here complaining that the 28th costume is for Bass and not for Rachel. How are they gonna release a costume for a character that’s not even released yet?

    I have to say that overall the DOA community is one of the least toxic gaming communities out there. Overall the top players in DOA are very friendly and approachable, unlike communities such as the MK one.

    @Brute: Man, I hope you're not serious.

    @Arcane: I always got the impression that unless I meet a certain criteria as a player, I'm either not allowed to communicate with them or they'll put me in a negative light on stream if I insist on fighting them anyway.

    @Awesmic Maybe its because I go to streams of mid-rank players so the top players that willingly show up are usually not a-holes. I've mostly gotten to know them that way. But I would not seek out a top player I didn't know at their stream since some of them are bound to be full of themselves. But I get the sense that's an FG thing.

    Right now it can only go for the better or for the absolute worst. I have a feeling that an Ultimate version of the game would fix some of the problems DOA6 has but with the terrible events and decisions they've had and they've been making lately, I'm not too confident in them fixing anything that needs to be fixed with an Ultimate version of 6.

    The roster is fine... for the most part. I want some characters getting redesigned and rewritten to make them stand out more. Not because I necessarily want them gone. I love DOA and its probably my favourite game series of all times, but I do wish that some characters would stand out more.

    @Awesmic I don't see it as gate keeping for the simple fact they show 0 interest in considerng the game in a competitive light in the slightest. If I see someone genuinely interest, I won't shut them down at all. If they win, I'll encourage them. Those other guys are vermin and a disdain for our rep. Are we going to let pedos near a school because it's bad for them? Nope. There should be a line drawn.

    Like Rikuto said, don't associate w/ 'em and it doesn't do harm to us. If anything, they're gatekeeping our game from striving with real players that would otherwise have interest in getting to at least understand FGs. We're losing good traction. Period. DoA doesn't have luxury in numbers like SF/Tek to simply sweep it under the rug as something we can keep pretending doesn't exactly do a bit of harm.

    That said, "What's weird for us v them" is figurative in nature. I'm not up for creating a social construct that isn't necessary to withhold a greater, "Good" We got to face reality sometime.
