Do Ayane's health upgrades carry over to Ryu?

Apologies if this has been asked before, but if I want to use Ayane's health upgrades are they separate from Ryu's? I don't want to waste them if they are not. Thanks

Ok cool thanks! I was having a tough time on MN day 6 Ayane Story Mode, I had to burn a couple health upgrades. Maybe I was just being lazy. Ha

@Russian-chiropractic19 - I meant 'waste' as in I'm trying to save them upgrades for Ryu in case i get stuck on a TOV or the last boss who I'm reading everyone say is a pain in the butt. Cheers

Day 6 Ayane is her last stage. Burn all her upgrades if you feel like it. The boss isn't that hard either.
