I was just thinking about how she got her power and came up with something. It was that, could she possibly be the daughter of Raidou?
Both of them have a similar trait which is learning others fighters moves and skills just by watching them, and both have that red mist around them, not to mention they also both have red eyes. So perhaps they are related? I could see Raidou having a child with another woman and could have been sent out of the village due to her curse, making her have to live with her grandma in quite possibly a city without knowledge of how exactly she got her powers (could explain why she says "why am I.... so hot?), which could have been a gene passed down by Raidou. Maybe she got it by a lucky chance while Ayane didn't. Such a thing could make the story bigger now that Raidou is back.
Could that be possible.
