Ultimate Clash 2 is around the corner and we're all looking forward to a very eventful and exciting tournament at the Heart Of Gaming on the 26th of this month, a day after the MCM Expo, so that people can both go to the expo and show up at the tournament the next day.
The UK scene has been in a rather stagnant state in the past couple of year, however I'm hoping that this tournament attracts a good turnout and we get to show the positive side of the game and the community.
I know that there great players in the UK scene and they can be the faces of our community, so come on down, meet new people and participate.
There are also plans for a DOA2U or DOA2Millenium (on a 50 inch Naomi Cabinet!) side tournaments if there's a decent turn-out.
There will also be a Soul Calibur 5 tournament on the same day, with the same rules as the DOA5 tourney.
There are weekly sessions for anyone looking for casuals and to brush up on their skills and meet other players.
Entry for the DOA5 tourney is £5 and there's a £10 entry fee for the day at the HOG or you could pay $15 for the whole weekend session, which is 34 hours straight.
Tournament will start around 3-4 PM, so try and show up earlier, some time around 12-1 PM.
Tournament may be played on PS3 unless BT installs the internet hubs before the tournament. I'll provide sticks and pads, if need be.
Prizes:
1st place: 70% of the prize pot
2nd place: 20% of the prize pot
3rd place: 10% of the prize pot
Rules:
Double Elimination (2 out of 3 matches)
Best 3 out of 5 rounds
Best 3 out of 5 sets for winners, losers and grand finals
Bracket reset for grand finals if losers bracket player wins the 3 out of 5 set
