I was thinking why don't DOA do a Poker mode, where players can hang out, play for fake or real money. Also u can choose a character, and your cards would be in that characters theme.

I think gambling for real money would make a whole bunch of issues arise, but some kind of in game money would be sweet.
It would be cool to be able to play poker as a spectator in online lobbies while you wait.
Plus that totally opens up a sick Vegas style stage or maybe even fighting on the pole dance stage thingy from Xtreme

My friends already don't want to play DOA with me because I destroy them. If it was poker it would be even worse.

There are already sets of cards from the DOAX series, so as a mobile game, arcade title etc I'm sure it wouldn't take much to develop something like that.

I believe XBV/X2 have casino mini-games (of course, no real money is involved). If you want to play DOA with poker, blackjack or slots, go play the Xtreme spinoffs.
