Momiji General Discussion

Thank you for uploading the video to youtube. After watching some gameplay videos, I think she looks quite good so far. I'm glad to see that she has not just two options out of her double jump. Unfortunately the throw out of it is not a catch throw. The only real fear I have right now, is that all of the attacks can be sidestepped.

There's a bit more on their facebook websites (Dead or Alive Game, DOA5, Tecmo, Team Ninja etc). On a different note, those sitdown stuns that she has look like they're going to be some ill shit. Man I'm ready. Can't wait.

I saw that she had two double slaps from DJ so those could possibly track. I wouldn't count the throw out for tracking yet either. From my assesment unless those guard breaks from double jump are plus on guard or her transition to it is uninteruptable I don't see it being recommended outside of stun or at least a go to pressure option. I've no doubt during stun the mixups she can enforce off of DJ will be deadly.

Im kind of liking how both ppk(K), 4pk(K) & aerial K are both guard breaks, I wonder if they guarantee anything or can put the opponent in a frame trap

I will tell you 3 importing things about me. 1. I always keep my promise 2. I never betrayal my friends 3. I am very good at remember many things here is my video about Momijis Combo Challenge as I promised.

You are a good honest man, and no homo but.......
If I had a boner for you, it's really trying right now.

Also despite TN saying that she is going to be intended to be a bit beginner friendly, just looking at this combo challenge; she seems like she is going to require a bit execution to do some of her combos.

all of the singular 8p/8k motions and 8 inputs for the DJ, (I think that's the input). It reminds me of Christie sort of with her JAK combo enders, or Pai and Akira being able to side step in strings. It adds depth to the character which really leads me to believe that she is going to be a blast to play with....Tuesday cannot come fast enough.

Apparently Momiji has an i10 Jab, i12 6P and i12 2P. Dunno the data on block but basically she's faster than Hayate and Ryu and slightly faster than Ayane on initial speeds.

EDIT: 6P is 21 dmg on counter hit. This unfortunately means it will lose to most other i12 6P's assuming they still do 22 damage.

She's as fast as Akira essentally. Sounds good.

So, from what everyone's seen, what does everyone think her staple juggles are going to be? To me it seems like PP6KK~P, if that's the input. THe one where she does two jabs, does 6KK and goes into the double jump fireball thing. Momiji is certainly seeming like the most interesting new character, and I may just end up maining her alongside Alpha and Ein.

I remember seeing her double slaps used as a relauncher in a CB juggle. If anything 4P3PP I believe it is will probably be a staple ender at low heights.
