This is pretty much what I've been saying. Instead of nerfing the character I think banning that set up would be a better option.

I second this. Besides, it's not like Gen Fu needs an infinite to be good.
The question "Should it be nerfed?" is kinda pointless. If anyone thinks for a second that TN won't "nerf" it now that they know about it, they're nuts. If you take a look at TN's patch history, that should be pretty obvious.
So the debate here is really: "Until that happens, should we ban the set-up in tournament play?"

There is actually another question with the nerf, though. It's not the "should" it be nerfed; it's the *how*. I've went from something heavier in my mind to something lighter, but I think there's a possible argument there. Right now I think the jabs just need altered.
But, for us, the more immediately pressing matter is the tournament play. Thankfully, there seems to be a relatively painless consensus on the part of the tourney players.

Yes. If it sees any tournament use, TN might keep it in. It isn't likely, but it might happen.

The setups should be banned if TN does not fix the hit status of his attacks once he gets to your back. This is not necessarily an infinite because you can get out of it, at least I can. The OP says you can't get out of it, however, I can and I am losing 50%+ in the process of doing it but new found ways of him getting back there easily he only needs to get back there once to end a fight. When you add this into everything else that he is doing then you have a character that is borderline broken.
@SweetRevenge117 You had help, bum! If not for me showing you something you wouldn't have even came across this. Since it's out in the open and most players will be doing it until TN fixes it (hopefully). I can show you how to get back there freely. Let me know when you are back on and I show you some more stuff, and I'd like to play.
I will say also add that is if this is not handle then I will temporarily be a Gen Fu player and as Lopedo said, it will be " The Gen Fu Classics" come October.

Yeah you told me I could punish lei fangs back but I constantly found new ways to enhance the set up. And even though you can get out of it after a few resets I can still do my combo that takes a hundred plus so u lose more then half to be precise. Lol. And yeah is the way you do any different from stun 236p?

How do you ban a setup and not the character? I don't think the character or the setup should be banned. The same goes with Leon's infinite. If Team NINJA edits it out, well fine it was a priority.

Same way you ban a cartwheel. If a player uses it, they forfeit the round.
That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard (other than Alpha being called unfair and cheap). Especially if the input was done by mistake.
I don't see how you could accidentally walk behind your opponent, hit P twice followed by a short delay, then hit P again, then hit 8P, then start the P sequence again purely by mistake.

You would forfeit the round. You wouldn't be banned.
Terminology is very important regarding these things.
This infinite needs to be banned from tournament play if the related strikes/stuns are NOT fixed in some way by the time TFC (Summer Jam even) is here. We don't need another "Exhibit B Classic", we need a good tournament without any BS that happened last year.
I saw and watched Sweet Revenge, Lopedo, Dallaz and Requiem break this stuff down piece by piece. It is borderline broken, there is no other way to put it. Ban it until Team Ninja gets the chance to fix it and bring out the necessary patch for it.
