New Female Character Teased in DOA5:LR Trailer

The new female character was teased with a brief shot in the latest trailer released by Team Ninja, showing off some of the day 1 DLC costumes available in exclusive bundles.

Also of note is the Steam logo displayed at the end of the trailer, officially confirming a PC release alongside the already announced consoles.

A date is set at the end of the trailer. "1/15/15" This could be an indication for the full reveal date of the new character.

Nyo getting Lei Fang's legendary cheongsam in black, wow.

I need Showstoppers pack!! Most of them are just color swap but it's ok to me. Rachel in red? Ok, I like it. And that Nyotengu dress is awesome I should change my pre-order and see where I can find Showstoppers pack...

 

I guess there is no doubt that the new char is a loli... with the english voice revealed.

Is that (color) swap pack the "unpopular girls pack", or something?

Also Nyo Tengu's PPP did not wall splat... well that's something at least

Finally... Jap trailer specifically mentions that the Soft Engine is ON (with some jiggly winning poses to show it off) and the Enlgish trailer still does not mention the feature at all lol

 

I still don't understand what the Soft Engine is. Is it a "boobs motion/jiggling" thing, or is it something with a "more realistic skin" ?

 

Looking forward to see that new character and what she might bring in DOA.
Those dlcs looks sweet, but the recolour (Showstoppers Encore) pack... Not impressed!

Was it strange? Seems like business as usual. Also note that Christie and Rachel weren't in the trailer either.

They all did show up at the end, but yeah, the big sellers seem to be the youngsters and ninjas.

Her hair color is the same as Serah (FFXIII) if you want my opinion. A mix of pink and blonde.

Well then. It looks like it's time to re-install Steam to my PC.

15th of January is on my calendar then. First time a character is precisely teased like that.

1 month and 10 days. Hope she is worth it.

It's hard to imagine what her "biggest" thing could be. She sounds so young.

Apparently it's a more advanced skin shader, that lets's the skin appear softer and more glowing for the girls and gives more muscle definition for the males. So far no one really saw a big difference to DOA5's skin though, even to the ones playing Last Round in person. Additional to the improved skin shader, the girls' boobs act "squishier" in certain loser poses. We've seen that feature already for Nyortengu's and Hitomi's poses.
