lol was originally just regular jeans but thought I'd try something different. Had an alternate version where the pants were baggier like Rave pants, but not sure that worked out.
Which third? Overall, or the third full body pic?

lol I love blue hair dye. gimme a break. Recycling/merging elements from various other character designs, then modifying into something unique.
Like this design has the hair and glasses inspired by Vinyl Scratch, though I'm trying to switch the purple to the hair and off the glasses for variation if I can help it. Gauntlets are a mix between those on The Shocker, and Shriek, using Frieza's head as a slight design element for the purple glass on white gauntlet. The pants are inspired by a piece of anime art I found a while back, they were padded ninja pants, and I'm taking that style and applying it to jeans. The robo boots are inspired by various jetboot designs, which I'm applying as shockwave generating boots. Her overall design takes cues from KoF's vanessa, GoGo from big hero six, AmeComi Green Lantern, various punk/rave girls, etc, etc.
These tests were all attempts to change the design to be further away from the Vinyl Scratch style (Which my design got accused of as well. I guess blue hair and purple glasses with white clothes is kinda iconic.) SO I'm mixing up the hair and glasses a bit. Like the one you liked? I'm not sure I can leave the glasses the light blue. They roll up to double as a hairband, and the light blue on light blue wouldn't look very good.
Here was the initial design but I toned it down because it'd be a bitch to draw continuously.
Shirt and sleeves are connected, it just leaves shoulders and midriff exposed.

Thanks. She actually IS an OC, with a name, abilities, and role in a big story. Granted, she wouldn't have a major role until later, but still.
Out of curiosity, which version do you like? Trying to finalize the basic design, is all.

nah i'm not experienced for that. Just basic lineart then painted base colors.
I'm completely winging it on the art and teaching myself as I go. Learning from experience and all that.
Like I finally managed to do another page of my comic, but forgot how the heck I made a brush for the water reflections on previous pages because its been over a year since I did that.
fully admit I said fuckit on trying to draw the shadows in the water though lol.

The armour and it's shading and reflection is killing me with this one, therefore only a portrait so far.
*casts evil spell to swap our art skills*
Seriously how do you draw like that? I can't do it, don't even know where to start with clean lineart or shading like that.

Lol, is that technique weird? XD In about the last two years I developed that technique, so I had less chance messing up the whole coloration and it was easier to modify just parts, if needed.
