Its mostly funny because the whole reason japan loves her is because she's NOT unique or special.

The crazy point here is, that Kasumi is a "historical" character in the DoA series and we still don't know anything about Marie Rose yet.

This is still really getting annoying and offputting to me. Expressing your concerns has always been one thing but again like Werewolf, put aside the ridiculous grudges against the characters as you are not doing yourself any favors.

As for the marketing in the West, I'm not so certain they gave up as it's more or less focusing on the tourney aspect. They possibly believe they got what they have so why bother with more than show off how serious we are to be taken as a community?

And that's just fine but keep that to yourself. There's plenty of characters that are popular that I cannot stand at all but I don't go around and continuously talk about it and complain and make their fans get riled up in the process.

And I know DOA doesn't really advertise but again, I can kinda see why they don't. They may be a well-known 3D fighter but 3D fighters in general is still pretty damn unknown to most non-FGC fans and unfortunately, you will still have the "cool kids" influence them and tell them that this is somehow worse than every other fighter because fanservice. So I can see why they are focused in these tourneys so we can prove those morons wrong first.
