I still hope that Alpha will be able to get a proper "real" costume (not necessarily my design), but I would lie saying that I didn't see many interesting ideas for her in the competion that made use uniquely of peculiar effects through her classic transparent skin.
Honestly I would be glad even with something similar, like I said more times Alpha has a great cool potential through her transparent body, it would be just enough for the developers to implement "tricks" with lights and colors for giving her a more cool or creepy appearence (in parallel with her "evil creature" status):
It's just a shame because I'm sure that this would have helped to make of it a more popular character between the fandom (even if her (un)fame it was already marked from her SNK Boss Syndrome during the DoA4 times).

(I would love to get this red costume for Momiji: the author sent even an alternative entry with less armors/vestiary - similarly to the "Dark Knight" design for Ayane shared from TN on their FB page - but my favourite is this one with the full costume)

About Alpha 152! Well, I have seen some good mods in our "DoA5LR Photo Mod" Thread. A user was able to give her actually a "real" skin. It looks creepy, but very interesting at the same time. I think Team Ninja could make the craziest things with her (lights, effects, glow and stuff) and also give her "real" clothes and objects.
From the mentioned Rig entries, I would really like to see the "Dessert Lord". It looks great.
That entry, made by @Kronin would push Alpha 152 into another level.

Siren of the Sinister Science is the nickname of Alpha from DoA4 and it's also included in one of her titles unlockable in DoA5. Seemed to me a nice idea to start from it for creating an outfit for her, at least not a completely random basis.
The addition of Greek make sounds the title silly and I know it pretty well, my fear was that people wouldn't have been able to realize that the design was representing a siren after that the latin literature transiliterated the mythological figure in the half fish one (and nowadays when people think to women half birds get in their mind the harpies).

Wow, I didn't even know that! They should really consider your well thought out costume then.
I'm not sure if it's well thought, I don't want be misunderstood I clarified the title just because I wanted say that it's not a totally random association: Alpha is able to fly --> Alpha own the nickname Siren --> so I used for Alpha the costume of a "Siren" that was able to fly.
In my opinion I saw many outfits for the character worthy to become part of the next DLC, mine wouldn't be my only choice neither having to decide it from myself.
Well, the actual siren as we know it now, the current "mermaids" half fish, appear after the Christianity. There is no evidence for the reasons behind this change, but the most likely explanation is enough curious: in greek for indicating the word wing and fin it's used the same term, "pterughion". Instead in latin for wing is used "penna" and for fin "pinna", so terms very close if not for the difference of only a letter (even in the rest of their declination).
So it's pretty possible that someone translating the greek works in latin made a misinterpretation/typo using the word pinna instead than penna: with the flow of the time the copying of the works for conservating the ancient culture ended to propagate it at the point to instill the belief that the sirens were actually half birds. Make even more sense think to creatures associated to birds able to ammaliate people with their singing (just like the birds are famous for their vocal quailties), rather than associated to mute animals as the fishes.

For voting purposes, the first contest had all of the accepted entries posted to Facebook (which should still be there) and the second to the official website (don't know if these are still there). We, of course, also posted our own in the dedicated threads for each contest and shared as many of the other entries as we could find under #DOACostumes on Twitter and Facebook and pulled some Japanese ones from Pixiv.
This year's was a problem. They got so many entries (1800+) that it was simply not practical for TN to share them all. We found as many as we could and shared them in the thread for the Halloween 2015 contest, but that only totaled maybe a few hundred. Apparently tons of people submitted through e-mail this time. It's unfortunate, but we're simply not going to see the majority of these designs unless the artist shared or submitted them publicly.
Then half the forum will be extremely disappointed, the other half won't care, and a handful will be really happy because they secretly wanted that all along.
Y'know, the usual.
Yeah, all I wanted was to find entries for a couple of my characters, but it seems like a research project-level of searching involved in order to find what you're looking for.

I asked to TN through mail if Alpha was part of this contest, considering that they excluded her in the last Halloween one, and they answered me that she was: I assume that this mean that they want give to her a fan costume this time (and actually I saw not few entries for her).

I don't know. I can see the DLC support going until the end of Season Pass 2, and then a last "DOAX promotional pack" and that's it for Last Round (at least for the DLC). But then in Spring we have the DLC character... so I really don't know.
I'm not even sure Team Ninja knows.
However, I'm 90% sure we'll have a bikini contest soon for DOAX3.
