No it won't. And if it did, then the build and the complaints would be no different than in DOA5. DOAX series is not an excuse for DOA's improvement just because of the character models. Next year is too early for a DOA6.

It's a trend. Pretty sure they'll release upgraded versions of DOA6.
Well, I agree with you but what I said was more of an estimation of the planning that TN has.

Also, sorry for the double post my internet went really slow for some reason and it double posted .

I just hope they don't do any more DOA6 remakes (DOA6 Ultimate, DOA6+, etc). Seriously, it should not take four plus games just to get things done the right way.

Rereleases are pretty common for a fighting game, while I also dont want to have to buy a new doa game again and again, its more than likely going to happen. The best we can hope for is that each iteration adds a lot of new, exclusive content like new game modes, characters, stages and maybe even minigames.

The estimation is pretty off then. After speaking with Tom Lee back at NEC, with Ni-Oh coming out, and the partnership with Square Enix development team to help make Dissidia, I can positively say that any DOA6 related material won't be even close to next year. I can make a bet with that and if I'm incorrect I'll send people money via Paypal, but I have a strong feeling that I will be correct on that. 3-5 years tops.

Regardless, if TN does bring any teasers next year (which I seriously doubt.) then you are asking for a rushed game if you want it to be released the following year.

I agree, they can take their time with 6. I'm satisfied with DOA5LR like it is now, except online since that's shitty as fuck.

DOA6 will be at least announced in 2018, and come out either late 2018 or mid-ish 2019.
Nobody is working on DOA properly at TN atm, which may be why DOAX3 seems so rushed.

If we are going to get a rushed game (like DOA5), if we do get an expansion, PLEASE make it like MKX and MKXL. People who have the current version of the game can still play with players who have previous versions, as the game is just an updated vanilla. I'm trying to word this properly but I will just bullet point it for now:
  • If there were to be a DOA6U with updated graphics, stages, costumes and characters, players who had DOA6 Vanilla would be able to download an update for the updated graphics and stages, but would have to buy an "Ultimate Pack", which grants them access to the new characters and costumes.
  • DOA6 Vanilla players wouldn't have to pay for any new modes.
  • DOA6U players and DOA6V players can play with each other online.
  • DOA6U can be bought on disk.
  • DOA6 Vanilla's "Ultimate Pack" DLC could cost £20.
  • Online stats aren't reset
Now, to get onto what I would want to see in the game.
  • Stair Throws (Come on fam)
  • Less gritty mood of DOA5, and more colourful stages, as the DOA5 series was actually quite dull. Everything was dulled down for an odd reason.
  • Individual Story chapters. Not like the MK attempt that TN tried to pull off, I mean like you select the first character in the Character Select, as everyone else is locked. After you complete their story, you unlock another character's story in an according order. The last character chapter unlocked is the final chapter, and the true ending to the game. You will also unlock costumes after you complete the chapter, and the chapters are replayable, with cutscenes where the costumes change according to the one you actually picked.
  • A tutorial that teaches you how to play specific characters, or give character tips in training mode.
  • Please no tag mode (It's a waste of time), even though DOA was one of the first 3D games to have a tag mode, it's shit. Really. It's shit. Unless they make it an entirely new experience altogether, tag mode shouldn't really be in DOA6.
  • (I will edit more later)

Why hate on tag though, just because you think it's shit doesn't mean others think it is tag is fun sometimes just not online.

I just want Kasumi's long thick loose hair back. That's all I'd need.

I think Marie's loose hair works the best because its lighter so it goes translucent better but Kasumi and other girls with dark hair make it so obvious the hair is disappearing.

Edit:

And an update! I think the game will release in 2018/2019 and Crimson Warrior described what I want to see in doa6!

True, tag can be broken. I like tag because of the intro's outtro's and tag throws that's basically the only reason why.

I don't like tag mode myself either but its as much a part of the series as the big boobs so I would prefer it stays too (and why Marie should go; those tiny tits have no place in this series*)

*I LIKE Marie, I'm being sarcastic, ok

Lol poor Marie doesn't deserve this abuse. For tag mode though I'm not a massive fan either but I think that has more to do with the fact that there's a very limited stage selection for tag mode. Its seriously like they forgot to apply the new stages to it. I don't know why Zack Island for example couldn't be a tag mode stage!

What do you guys think of an alternative, tag mode like in Tekken Tag? Where the first KO results in a win and you can play solo with a health advantage?

I spoke to Rikuto about this via a stream one time. If anything, what if they make a separate game that's solely for tag. Imagine a game where there is focused balance on one game that's completely tag since solo is more heavily focused than tag in the previous DOAs.

DOA (Game one)

DOA: -Insert Tag edition here- (Game two).

I don't see why not. I'll even buy it.

Ha, those ryona videos will have more views and google images than any other DOA game if Zack Island was a tag stage. Such overshadow.

That's copying Tekken a bit too much don't you think? If TN ever consider a separate DOA fighting game series/spin off, I would rather they try making a 2.5d DOA.

It's not copying Tekken if the actual overhaul mechanic is different. Copying (or any sorts of copyright) is taking either a slogan or a named title. The issue here is that these players want to make tag a "legitimate" thing. What exactly are other methods to do that? it is -possible- make another game out of it, the curious question is whether or not the individuals will buy the version since they know there is a tag on the default build from solo.

Now which one do people want, a solo type game that also has tag with minimum focus on balance and less features within tag? or a completely different one that focuses on tag completely with more ideas for features (tag gravtures) and stage focused things. This pleases both sides since you also have those players that "only" play tag that complain about tag balance. If DOA is taking bash for a similar version to Tekken's tag tournament versions, then 2D fighters would of been no exception in similarities to creating team fights to other 2D fighters.

See now if it were up to me, I would say "Who cares about Tag." yet I still find it in my cold heart to solve some issues that are still issues till this day.

If Zack island was a tag stage then the swimsuit could be use in tag and not look awkward. It's pretty awkward fighting in a swimsuit on a stage like The show or something.

I would like to see a reinvention of the wall mechanics. I feel like it's kinda weak, in comparison to other games like Soul Calibur or Tekken. I don't want the wall to be like older DOA games, but something like other 3D fighting games. For example, I would like to be able to do a wall combo after a juggle and after performing some throws(Like leon Desert Falcon). That would make it more dynamic. Of course, the damage need to be reduced in order to not make it broken. I know DOA is not suppose to be like that. And even if I would like to see something like that, I don't know if such thing would work.

When you mention Soulcalibur and Tekken, I hope you don't mean SCII and Tekken 4. Wall combos were not guaranteed and could be escaped in those specific games.
