I remember someone saying something about Rig:Mila : Ein:Leon, a theory of some kind that would be proven if Mila ended up playing like Leon which brought up the following question.
How is Rig in ANY way similar to Ein at ALL? There is nothing similar personality or gameplay wise to connect the two, nothing I've seen.

Amnesiac German Karate fighter --------> Amnesiac Canadian Tae Kwon Do fighter (TKD is karate + indigenous Korean kicking techniques)
Italian Sambo fighter --------------> ???
I speculated that Mila's style would be MMA/Vale Tudo/submission wrestling which has many of the same techniques as Sambo in the same way that Tae Kwon Do shares many techniques with karate.

Well, yeah. I guess you're right. A new style would be better in the end than two sambo characters. I just hate the idea of scrapping a cool moveset.

It was speculated early on by several board members that Rig might have some sort of shared past (clone, son, brother) with Bayman due to their similar facial features, Rig's amnesia and connection to Christie. So why would a TKD fighter have a costume that resembles a sport Samboist's kurtka?

Definitely looks like Sambo, if Mila does this style of combat she would be the weakest reveal in my opinion, this is something we already seen and know. This would also be the reason why Leon maybe out. I would hope sambo is not her style because once again with the same fighting style, she would be the second Sambo user. I'd be happier if she used boxing or Akido instead, but that uniform definitely looks like sambo wear. I can see why they may leave her unrevealed lol, because they know she'll be a weak reveal lol. Because all they done was copy and then pasted Leon's moves and gave her a few different moves, then took some moves out lol. I'm going to be laughing hard if she turns out using Sambo and say all we got was ONLY 1 brand new character...

Just saying, shouldn't that hint tell us it should be more than 24 characters considering we already know of all the characters now. Sarah, Akira has already been announced and plus those two has to be unlocked, if they were considered the secret characters that doesn't make sense at all. Alpha 152 maybe unannounced and maybe Pai, but there's no info on Pai as an unlock-able character from the achievement listing (seems rather odd not to include other unlockable characters on the achievement list for Teamninja), unless that's saying she's not in or she'll be unlocked from the start. The ONLY unlock-able character that's not announced is Alpha 152 and these are the only unannounced characters:
Mila, Pai, Gen Fu, maybe Leon, Ryo, and Alpha 152. Sorry Hayashi gave NO official disconfirmation on Leon.
And why are they waiting after release to announce characters, sounds kind of odd if you ask me? If all we're getting is Mila, Pai, Gen Fu, and Alpha 152 there's no surprises left.
Dead or Alive 4 had all unlockable characters in the secret achievement list http://www.gamefaqs.com/xbox360/928260-dead-or-alive-4/cheats so maybe Pai and Gen Fu are possibly on that list. Maybe Teamninja did not reveal all of the secret achievements just to keep us guessing or maybe secret achievements are not known unless you do something special? Who knows and it wouldn't make sense if Pai is already unlocked while she was never announced. We only have 3 secret achievements that have nothing to do with characters, there has to be more because it feels lacking. If you look on the character select screen there's plenty of room for at least 7 or more characters- feels kind of awkward if all you get on the third row is Alpha 152, Pai, and Gen Fu- it would just show poor design.

Well, it's not really TN's fault (directly) that there are no surprises left. So, I wouldn't get your hopes up TOO high.
And the character select screen still kind of has room on the sides. At least enough room to make it 12 and 12. But, then I guess the random would be in the third row.

I can't help but feel that these "surprises" which have been mentioned in those recent interviews are going to be either things that we already know (Mila/Alpha/Pai) or things that are wholly insignificant in the grand scheme of things (costumes, etc).
The responses given in those interviews would most likely be given on the basis of what has been officially revealed, and therefore would not be likely to take things like the leaked alpha roster, achievements list or leaked screenshots into account. It would be like they never happened. Essentially, it's like they're giving info to the press as if we haven't all been following the progress of this game on the Internet with close scrutiny since it was revealed. In a few days/weeks time, it'll be like, "guess what, guys...? We're revealing a completely new, totally unheard of female character called Mila!".
I would have thought that the achievement list is complete by now, if it's been published on xbox360achievements.org, so if there actually are going to be "real" surprises to be announced post-launch, the only way I could see it happening would be through free DLC, and that seems unlikely to me.
Bottom line...I think character-wise, we already know the whole story. It just hasn't been officially announced yet. I sincerely hope that I'm made to eat my words though.
