The clips don't have audio because Shimbori and Max were just talking so I didn't bother clipping the audio. The full segment has the audio of them talking over those clips. No game audio can be heard on the stream.

I like what they did to the game's speed.

Looks like they took a cue from 2D Fighting Games by having a Hit Stop effect on certain hits (A momentary slow down when a move connects)...

So... Who's ready for some Street Fighter Style Hit Confirms and Freeze Frame Supers ? :)

Wait im seeing english subtitles, im gonna assume the voices were in English and we're getting all the english voice actors from DoA5 back?

Gonna be honest...I'm not liking the sound of any of this =/

All we could do is wait pretty much. I just have to picture some of these and remove certain stuns such as sitdowns or reduce the stun advantage because of the whole staggering out not being a thing (or so i've heard but we can't be sure if this is gone either).

Overall, I think comeback mechanics in 3D fighters are a scapegoat trick and desperate shit just for winning. Course, we can't be sure if it'll be a cluster-mess of nonsense since we have to wait till the game drops.

TeamNinja has always been an oddity in that for years where their games always have English subtitles. Even DoAX3 has them and the game never left JP and I recall DoA2 arcade version had them as well. My JP copy of DoA3 as well is completely in English.

Would be cool to fight on the go but that's just my 2 cents.
To be fair, Nintendo consoles have a history of weak specs (in a way of saying) when it comes to certain things (graphics, textures, "intense things", etc.) Why they choose to do this? I don't know. But, I'm sure if there IS a switch version, they'll have to downgrade just for it to run properly.

Speaking of Ports...

Who wants cross platform Multiplayer ?
As much as I'd like to see a PS4/PC cross platform, I doubt it.

There's no way this game would run on the switch lol.
I'm pretty sure people thought the same thing about DoA5 on the Vita, but that turned out to be a thing. If I recall, it turned out to actually be a really solid port, too.

Also, from what I know, TN has always basically just made one version of the game and released it worldwide. Try grabbing Core Fighters on the Japanese PSN, and you'll quickly notice it's literally the same. I think it even defaults to English menus and voices if that's your system's set language.

They have a large emphasis on English because that's how south Asian countries play.

Ya, but overall DoA5 really didn't have anything over the top visually. Probably wasn't that hard to tone it down to the vita. I can't picture the switch being able to run the amount of lighting and other particle effects going on in 6 so far. I love the switch, but it aint exactly pushing the boundary in hardware.

People were worried about lack of side step and they show the most evasive side step attacks in the series on the stream today.

They haven't shown either Helena or Kasumi get hit in the face yet have they?
