Mira compa, a mi nadie me ve la cara, y tu me haces los mandados. But if you get offended, just ignore the request. There are more people.
For you guys, everyone who doesn't agree with your shit is someone who's "offended" lol. Boring. The truth is I couldn't care less. Y'all do the same shit the so called SJWs you hate so much do. Now again, don't quote me again. I don't want to have anything to do with you or your flop of a campaign.

So basically, you just discovered you're on the wrong side of the argument. Congratulations.

Now all you have to do is come to the realization that the majority of your assumptions about where 6 is going have been made in error. Shimbori said what he did in relation to all of that "creepy dlc" because that is what was complained about the most by vocal people on twitter and the like. What you guys assumed was that he meant everything from the ground up would be butchered, and that was never the plan.

Because I want a "balance" - i.e. DOA1 -5 vanilla circa fan service levels - I'm on the "wrong" side?

I come to my conclusions for 2, maybe 3 reasons:

1. Shimbori has gone out of his way to make it clear the series is going in a different direction than all previous games. He has said this numerous times, even to Famitsu.

2. The video footage also backs this up.They received so much backlash Master FFS had to go back and try to backpedal and say "Oh no, guys, the jiggle is totally still there... just toned down." This is because it was entirely GONE. A series staple being removed did certainly cause a lot of fans to take notice. Shimbori has even stated outright the girls are "now" (not before) serious fighters not sexy characters, and he intentionally focused on "cool" designs, smaller busts and more conservative costumes (like Kasumi's).

3. Now with that said, I am aware of how bad the series' reputation is. However, that is largely due to their own mistakes. The xtreme crap was what started the poor rep the series developed. I am convinced of this, as the older games were never more "lewd" than SC for example. So I do get WHY they would want to correct this image - plus there is the whole appeal to esports as well. So I get WHY they are doing it, and thus, I take what Shimbori said seriously. Truth be told, he wanted to tone everything down before 5 came out... so Hayashi said anyway. So maybe this was the plan all along. They had big plans for NG3 too... and they made the game THEY wanted... sure, no one else wanted it, but it got made.

Perhaps I'm just being overly selfish by expecting them to cater to MY (and many fans) demands. I should just let them make the game THEY want. If the market hates it, it will tank and that will be that. If not, then good on them I suppose.

No, balance is good. We're on the same page there. I'm fine with balance. Bond movies have balance. But when Shimbori said he was taking it in another direction, balance IS that direction. Even Itagaki blasted DOA 5 for not having balance.

Breasts are nice, as I said. Having them float around like balloons is silly and gets laughed at, and that's a lot of why that got toned down. At some point, there's probably going to be an option for that because Team Ninja is Team Ninja. No one needed a petition for that anyway.

Ironically, the only thing your buddy's petition here might accomplish, if its successful, is helping convince TN to create another DLC parade which is what you supposedly don't want.

No kidding, that's one reason why I didn't sign it.

I think we're somewhat on the same page. I just don't think they can undo 22 years of stigma. I mean, yes the series rep really went downhill after xtreme 1 came out... but honestly, DOA1 for its time, was pretty insane. Water balloons ahoy. So to say the series was not founded on sex (plus violence) is kind of missing it.

I would honestly like to see Marie Rose and Honoka not return, especially the latter because she IS nothing but walking fanservice, and not even the good kind. At least MR had a good theme and a unique moveset... still wasn't a fan though.

I wish I had everyone here's unwavering faith in Team Ninja. I can only go by what I see and hear and like I said, I do understand why they are going this route... but I just don't think its a wise move financially. And changing public opinion in 1 year's time, even with media's help is not an easy task. Honestly, if they can somehow pull this off, it will be nothing short of a miracle!

Well, you might be right. Maybe they can't undo two decades of stigma. Maybe they don't need to. But you have a bunch of people right now saying that LR's level of fanservice has always been the norm and are defending that, and if that's shown me anything it's that people have very short memories.

Personally, I almost feel like Team Ninja has to sell a flop in order to fix the stigma. Because that resets the expectations to a degree for the next generation of gamers. I don't know how anyone would ever convince KT to let them do that. But who knows, right? They have some sort of battle plan, so let them do it and if it sucks, well, there's always the next iteration. Maybe the game will actually be so incredibly batshit cool that nobody will really care about the rest. It's entirely possible, and that's exactly how I felt when I was tossing people out of the windows of DOATEC HK in DOA 3. If they can recapture THAT feeling, I think it will sell just fine.

I don't think it'll flop tbh. They're doing the right thing by purging the community of people who only played so they could stroke their joysticks to the girls, they didn't take the game seriously. If you're a REAL fan of the franchise then the game maturing shouldn't bother anyone. If They're really upset they can always run to Soul Calibur or another game like the Twitter trolls keep mentioning

Dead Or Alive 6 Builds On Franchise's Core Strengths While Renewing Focus On Inclusivity

Ohh boy... typical Inclusivity opinion from our "friends" from the main stream media.

The Dead or Alive franchise is infamous for its efforts to oversexualize its female fighters. That reputation has been helped along by the Dead or Alive: Xtreme spin-offs, a collection of titles that put all the women in skimpy bikinis as they play beach volleyball and seaside party games.

While it may be infamous to likes of the casual comments who wouldn't take the serious, the fellow tournament members that want the less sexualized approach, and the main stream media that has problem with how females are design which they spend their time writing hit pieces. Part of its sex appeal is what kept DOA5 going for 3 separate updates (including different consoles which has exclusive content), along with being able to afford $92 worth of Season Pass, over thousands worth of costume slots, having costume contest for Halloween, and with free to play version over 10 million downloads. A lot of this stuff is something that no fighting game could have ever reached.

Dead or Alive 6 is trying to do what its predecessor could not and de-emphasize the sex appeal of its female combatants while also making the gameplay more approachable.

Honestly, the only thing DOA6 should be following from its predecessor was it DLC lineup, because their serious approach clearly didn't work out for them considering what they've been doing with DLC. DOA's gameplay is already approachable compare to Tekken & 2D fighters, the only thing they did was add some auto combo. Fighting games just isn't the genre you can pick up and be automatically good at, even if it gave you amount of tutorials. De-emphasize the sex appeal may not last long once DLC comes to play, considering this opinion from gameinformer: "Of course we’re going to tone down at this point, but for downloadable content, we have to see what gamers really want, what their response is. Not all the gamers want the same thing, but we want to ask their opinions, all of them, and get feedback on it."

https://www.gameinformer.com/e3-201...-on-de-emphasizing-the-sexiness-of-the-series

The boobs are smaller as opposed to before because we wanted the girls to appear more human.

That piece of an opinion (regardless it was Shimbori or mistranslation from Gamespot) was not cool. This is pure facepalm worthy.

He and his team want to make strides towards removing sexual fanservice from Dead or Alive, but they acknowledge that certain mechanics and aspects of the franchise are too ingrained in the series' DNA to abandon completely.

There is something clearly wrong with this opinion about "removing sexual fanservice", first of all the only thing they've been toning down was the "ridiculous breast jiggle physics". This whole "aspects of the franchise are too ingrained in the series' DNA to abandon" clearly feels like Gamespot doesn't completely understand to whats going on.

"Also, another reason: who doesn't love eSports?,"

That's really going to depend on your approach to eSports appeal, if it winds up changing or toning content down like Sex Appeal. I would be hating eSports, and I wouldn't video games to become mainstream. I don't want a repeat of what happen to SFV with the camera shots from the beta build (which were taken out) and when ESPN decide to do costume ban.

But Shimbori doesn't just want more of the eSports community in on the action, he wants the casual gaming audience to enjoy Dead or Alive 6 too.

All Shimbori needs to do is not mess with what made them DLC support in the first place, and continue to offer the same kind of content I'd guarantee this will make DOA6 successful.

Anyone who genuinely believes sexualization is gone is either really gullible or fucking blind...

In the reveal trailer alone you see Helena has a boob window showing off her cleavage and her skirt riding up showing her panties in almost every shot she appears in!!

Kasumi is also literally wearing a skin tight body suit with fucking heels and that not sexualized? but Zero Samus in Smash with a very similar costume is sexualized? where does this logic come from?

Also a bunch of these people who are complaining about the girls being covered up don't even fucking realise the hooded ninja is HAYATE a male character.

This thread lol...I couldn't resist the urge to post so basically from what I've read in this thread let me completely try to sum up why these are blind/haven't actually payed attention to the gameplay and articles, Because If they had they wouldn't be complaining.

1. "Jiggle physics being gone"/ They've said multiple times that it is an early build and jiggle physics will be back.

2. "Putting the female character in cloaks ( or "burkas" as they keep saying "/....that's literally Hayate...a male character...please remind us though how your the real fans and no one else is?

3. "Kasumi doesn't have her blue iconic outfit" /...and again they've said multiple times that it will be in the game..did you actually read any articles or just jump on this complaining bandwagon to be outraged...that sure reminds me of the actions of those sjw's you hate so much..

4. "Them toning down the fanservice"/ Lol this one makes the least sense because assuming that you've got eyes literally regardless of what any articles say you can just see that the fanservice is still there, Skin tight body suit with armoured pieces placed to accentuate the crotch and chest and a cleavage bearing dress that's high cut at the sides that you can see her panties while she's fighting...like Its SO clearly still there that it's crazy that people are trying to complain about it.

...oh and don't forget that this is based on the massive number!!!...of two whole outfits that we've seen so far one each for the two female characters revealed so far...

Kasumi is also literally wearing a skin tight body suit with fucking heels and that not sexualized? but Zero Samus in Smash with a very similar costume is sexualized? where does this logic come from?

Or take Taki as another example… she also wears a tight fantasy Ninja suit with some random (non-protective) armor parts and both have a similar body type. The main difference is that Kasumi wears leather underwear on top and thus doesn't have “boob socks” and you have to get Kasumi wet to see her navel (which happens after ~0.3 rounds though). No one claims she's one of the non sexualized females in SC…

I'd be really surprised if DoA6 ends up with less fanservice than DoA3… the “top tier” of fanservice outfits in 3 is something like Helena's belly dancer outfit, Leifangs evening gown and some really short pants for Tina and Hitomi after that, you are already down to Kasumi's iconic blue (which will also be in 6)

Having eyes and being able to perform simple math is not counting one's chickens prior to hatching.

Well, whatever math you were doing is oversimplistic and thus ultimately wrong… that's why it's a “Milchmädchenrechnung”.

You seem to imply that only stages and characters count towards the completion total, which is simply absurd. E.g the game will have a story mode that must count for something, no? Even the content items we saw so far are unlikely considered as finished. The characters will probably get more costumes, more voice acting, English voice acting, move set changes etc. So your extrapolation to show that the percentage they've given can't be correct is pretty much worthless.

I sure that TN understand the risks of low sale, lose of "fanbase". Game in early stage
Just calm down. Developers has enough experience in business and marketing. If lack of boob motion will influence on sales negatively, they can just add a free update or something else

This thread is now about Super Mario RPG.
Who is your favorite party member? Mine is Toadstool because she is fun and I love to hit things with a frying pan.

Peach is the most broken character in that game...

But seriously, what the hell has this thread devolved into? Honestly, people are acting like DOA6 is going to fail ignored the fact that TN rebounded hard with DOA5U and after that so it's obviously not going to "fail". What makes it dumber is that the number of things people are complaining about... is right there, clear as day, or they mentioned it in a review.

It's just getting ridiculous that this is the mental state of "the fans" who believe that they are doing a service and trying to boycott and do all of this ridiculous shit when actual fans are more worried about the mechanics and the stages still being too similar to DOA5.

And yes, it's dumb as fuck that people want to even remotely pretend DOA5's fanservice is the norm as that shows they wasn't fans at all. DOA5's fanservice was well beyond the norm of any DOA game that wasn't an Xtreme title as the most DOA has ever gotten was mainly commercials and DOA2U(and even that was mainly just numerous amounts of costumes for the females, never the ribbons, and naked aprons DOA5 has).
But hey, this is the same people that legit believe that because their alpha gameplay is the finalized game somehow.

Well since this thread turn into something else might as well give my thoughts about this situation.
I LOVE the DOA series because of the gameplay, the characters, and the fanservice it presents itself. All I see is people from boths sides(the ones who don't care or hate the fanservice/ and the ones who like the fanservice) downing each other because they only look by their own perspective. I understand from both sides really, but is it really necessary for the whole "real fans"thing? People have there own reasons for liking this series. Personally, I hate it when certain people say a game is "maturing" mainly because they are toning down the sexualiztion.
