Exactly. I think what others are trying to say is that even if the community miraculously ignored the sex appeal in DOA, that infamous stigma would stick with the franchise anyway. If that's true, it doesn't really matter what the community says or does, and thus we should just behave towards that aspect like any other community would.

If that stigma can be shaken, it must come from TN. But, that seems to be the last thing on their agenda with their DLC focus, prices, and stupid six-axis functions.

Who cares about ign, srk at least is real people, and tekken is tekken and to top it off, those games are not associated with the same stigma that DoA has.

This is true, but my point was that the people of other fighting game communities have similar discussions about the attractiveness of their characters and sexy cosplay and fanart threads, so for them to laugh at us would be hypocritical on their part, regardless of the reputations of the games we respectively enjoy.

I say that because Tekken is at that point of success that it just doesn't really matter what it does. Even when they released the swimsuit stuff, no one really said anything about it, but with DoA it was front page news for gaming sites because DoA has that stigma.

Seriously? The only reason DOA is looked down up on is because people like you who "claim" they love the series yet shit on it. I understand you don't like 5, but if you love the series like you "claim" and want to see it "succeed" or "get better" you would help the community grow, mature and support. But as long as people like you are in the community doa will be looked down upon because other communities have no reason to respect it. It has nothing to do with T&A. Every game, or form of entertainment sell using that shit. Now gtfo of the topic and come back when you learned what it means to help your community grow. Asshole! XD
