8K was also a staple move until they raped it in DOA4.
The divebomb was good in DOA4 because it was guaranteed if you did it while your opponent was in the air (except when near a wall, where it could be teched). It wasn't guaranteed anymore in DOAD and became exactly the same as every other character's 8P+K down attack (though stronger), in that it would only ever land on players who didn't tech.
In 5U, it will still be the same as the DOAD counterpart, so it'll only be as effective as the 8P+K down attacks already in the game. You'll only really get to land it if you do it to someone who tries to go for a wake up kick.
So it really won't be "more useful in the future" at all. Sad to lose it, but she's got way better options for much more damage now anyway.
It'll be interesting to see what happens before she is released on consoles. Dive Bomb is a staple move, and a damaging; taunting one. I hope to see it more useful in the future.
Indeed they are, but they'll almost never work in 5U. I'll mostly just be divebombing people while they're on the ground after I've won the round, just to be able to see it, lol.
