(not me, I wasn't at the events. I'm going only what I've seen out of current Ayane players at events) is that they've been finding it pretty hard to get decent damage. But we have outstanding mobility, so that's a plus. Truthfully, I think when DOA 5 comes out, all of us Ayane players need to hit the lab and find out if there's any safety hidden throughout her list.

Hmm thanks for letting me know. As long as she has speed, I guess her low damage is acceptable. I'm definitely looking forward to learning her and taking her to the lab! :D

If she has some safety, even 10 moves, I think regardless of what they did to her, she'd still be powerful.

I'm just hoping something other than hair will give us a reason to main her over Kasumi. If they're both unsafe, and fast, and both have spacing moves (Kasumi backflip...) then outside mix-up, the reason I play her over Kasumi is that she's my favorite...I dunno, I'd appreciate more unique skills.
