I'm losing everywhere, I don't know what I'm doing wrong ;_; I got this game about 4 days ago

Not sure how to deal with a mirror match, I try to go with punishing opponents whiffs but he/she just rushes me down, what do I do?

half my matches today have been against Kasumi's they hit too fast that I don't even bother holding them because I don't even know if a punch or kick will come after their strings

er, could I play with you guys?

Can I play the same way offline? EDIT: Ugh okay, I'm sorry for all the questions but tell me if this is a good idea after hitomi's punch parry I can go for pp4ppp?

It's so frustrating, I'm new to DOA in general and when I play online (mainly against Kasumi and Ayane) I have trouble attacking them after my blocks, I main Hitomi and I've been losing every fight so far and only won a small few of them :( any help would be greatly appreciated
