Me too.... although I'm not bothered by the lack of content so much as I am bothered by the Quality of the Content that is there.

That's alright. As long as the main game play is good, people will still accept it. Sometimes it saddens me that games nowadays are now more focused on online playing and leaving behind the extra things like other modes that can give variety to the game while at full price like $60, and also relying so much on paid DLC instead of putting the content in the game itself since its release.

I play much older games than 08. Try 93 or 94. :p

I dunno, once you get past the nostalgic factor of most older games, they get boring really quick IMO. I still enjoy something like Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma, but the lower quality production values and graphics wear thin pretty quickly on a big screen unless I'm playing on a handheld like the Vita for instance.

In my game room I have a Sony Trintron SD TV with all Nintendo consoles, Dreamcast in S-Video. The picture looks incredible.

For single player, they can get old. But I still have mates nearly every weekend at my place for split-screen fun, Mario Party 1-3.

Also JRPGS on my SNES for solo.

Also... why give your old collection to gamestop for 50 cents when you can keep your games forever? My collection has been built since the 90s when I was just a little kid, and today my game (+systems) collection is worth over 30,000 dollars. That being said, I have complete Sega Saturn games and rare systems.

@deathofaninja I still play 20 year old games at the arcades, but they're getting rare nowadays because they'll eventually get replaced by new ones or they just stop working.

I never play non-HD games on an HDTV, like PS2 or original Xbox games. It becomes pixelated all around because of the 480p resolution getting stretched. Playing them on SDTV looks amazing, and has less input lag as well.

Original Xbox is an HD console. Most games on it support 480p, some also support 720p and a handful of them support 1080i. Most Xbox games look fantastic on a modern TV with the official Microsoft component cables.
