as for what type of character she is, she's a mid range space control monster, you poke with standing medium kick and standing heavy kick and halt advances with your fireball, and when they get jumpy, you anti with you numerous anti air options, dp, standing fierce, crouching fierce, standing jab. she's basically nash but worse, so if you wanna play juri, just play nash instead, he does the same thing but better
I can't Do Cancel Hitconfirms of Any Kind.... not with this 6 Frame Input Lag... even the The Hit Stop on crush counters are too short for a normal human being to adjust to them. Ken's good if you got Evo Champion Reflexes.... actually you know what... even then he's not so much good as he is just Normal. He's absolute terrible for me... I can't work with him
My issue with why I said she's a shitty rushdown character is because of her martial art and how her version contradicts most others and how in-efficient it is in SFV.
Looking at Taekwondo in fighting games, I see a style where frame traps, creativity, and rushdown is efficient. It's why Rig & Hwoarang are so fun and great (Sarah to an extent but she's more MMA). I can go to the lab and look at all the cool stuff I can do that can mentally jack someone up if they don't know the MU.
Juri contradicts that for me. Despite being a taekwondo character, she plays a style I can't see succeeding in SF. And her spacing tools or keep out reek. Even as Rig and Hwo aren't excellent spacing characters, they're good enough where they can excel. Juri on the other hand almost feels weak in what her styles supposed to be.
I honestly feel if Sakura and Zeku weren't in the game, people probably would say Juri is still C tier. And in SF, seeing that defense is meh at best, unless you're Guile, Juri just doesn't suit that kind of play. And of all the taekwondo characters I used, she has to be possibly the most honest ever (According to some people I played with).
Not to say that honest styles aren't bad, but there's a reason why Ryu was in the bottom and Akuma's top 10 if not top 5. All in all, I don't like Juri's design in SF. It's in-efficient for me and her style contradicts so much of what I'm used to with taekwondo.
juri is a street fighter character, hworang is a tekken character. why would u expect them to play similarly when they come from completely different games? that's like saying sagat from street fighter and bruce from tekken should play similarly just cause they both are muay thai practitioners.
I don't want them to play entirely the same. Then you lose the uniqueness and stuff. However there's a difference between wanting the exact same character and playing a similar style.
For example: No matter what game, I feel any Bruce Lee character will play similar. Not entirely the same but I can establish what to do and what not to do. Same with Karate for like Ryu/Ken translated to Jin/etc and Hitomi/Ein where you know they play a well-rounded style.
When it comes to Taekwondo: Rig and Hwo play similar. Heck even Sarah plays similar (Though again she's more MMA). Not the same character but I can identify the style. But Juri play's a whole different style of Taekwondo and not only that, it's highly in-efficient. Which makes it a struggle to utilize her to the best of her abilities when her space games meh for a game where defense is meh....
And you look at all the other characters with the same Martial Art and they play entirely different. And not only that, it's more efficient. Juri's tkd in SFV I might say is the worst version I ever played with in any fighter.
