I agree. They need to adjust it a bit so it's not such of a robbery. It's too abusable as it is. AND it builds a lot of meter. All 3 of the 3D Fighters in their newest games have given beginner & mashy players a crutch to latch onto. Needs to have some kind of consequence or at least an even worse consequence than what it currently is.
Nothing is wrong is trying to get new blood into the games. I even love the idea. I want that more than the next fighting gamer. I just want them to not be to where people can feel like they don't have to learn the ways of playing like the people who came before them. You make people who's been devoted to playing for so many years feel like all of their time was for nothing.
glad im not the only one who think there's too many counter mechanics, Guard impact, mashable 1 button supers with built in defense, and reversal edge, seems a bit much, but im new to all this so im sure some time in training mode will remedy this
Yeah, metered GI's and 236236A+B+K Critical Edges were fine for comeback mechanics since they ate up a lot of meter (and GI's can whiff easily), but Reversal Edge feels like the biggest noob tube. I could tolerate Rage Arts in T7, because it was generally very obvious when an opponent would use them (i.e. As soon as they got Rage) and they could get punished very easily.
