LoL.... I don't think he's just trying to win.... I think he also wants the laziest way of doing it too and Rig can more or less fit that more than Leifang.
hmm, is gen fu really a just do stuff character? lei fang i can see it since she has parries, sabakis, and doesn't give a shit about your mids, so mounting an offence against her can be annoyingly difficult, Gen fu has similiar tools, but he has to try and be not too predictable, lest he get mid punch held forever
Gen Fu gets better rewards off of playing the 50/50 game than any other character. So if you're tired of working your brain and fingers then yes, Gen Fu is your dude.
To answer your friend's question, it's not as satisfying to see the fruits of your labor with a character you don't like playing. He may be seeing results with the character he's switching to now, but sooner or later his luck's gonna run out and then he'll see he needs to utilize his fundamentals better.
Perhaps once he sees the holes in his play he may become more comfortable going back to his previous character. Some people cope that way when learning the game, so it's likely just a temporary setback for him.
EVERY character can get away with alot online, some are just alot better at it than others. it's funny cause i know a another guy who swears up and down that he's a tina main, and yet all i've seen him play from day 1 is helena, and his reason for that is "helena is just better online"
lol, i knew that one would piss you off lulu, honestly if they wanna score online wins by picking character who they see as online top tiers, let 'em be. Im kinda going through a similiar thing with nyo right now, i luv the character to death, but fuk me sideways i do not like using her online
