Depends, if your opponent has good spacing fundamentals, no, you do not want to get hit by 66K. That's usually not the case though. Only a nut would press a button after 66K, the safest option is to fuzzy after it, so feel free to poke low or use OHs.
The safest option is ALWAYS to fuzzy. Technically, it's your safest option even when you're at frame advantage. That doesn't always mean it's a good option.
Lows pokes are an option, if you have any decent ones faster than 15 frames that is.
@Darkslay you forget that i mostly play online, i encounter nothing but nuts. and trust me, 98% of the jann lee's online are pressing buttons after i block 66k; jab, sidestep p, 6p, that weird high crush that he has (i think it's 3 or 1 p+k or something like that)
I know it's my responsibility to stop them from getting away with stuff like that, so i it's more my fault for not reacting fast enough, but since so my online jL treat 66k as a free way in, id rather get hit with, get put full screen soft knockdown, and go back to neutral
@Brute against slower opponents, you can opt for a button, in every other situation I don't see how fuzzy's not always the best option, you'd need an extremely hard read in order to attempt something else.
I have some bad news for you though, against NyoTengu, 66K is -3, 6P and 2P will still get beat out by JL, that's why that MU sucks, you're shooting yourself in the foot in that situation Using NyoTengu, a faster character though, you always mid kick poke after a blocked 6KK, just for those nuts that hold mid after doing it.
In this situation, since, like you say, you mostly play nuts, it is advisable to get hit by 66Ks, NyoTengu can destroy players like that at a distance.
Shooting myself in the foot by using nyo? welcome to the life of a nyo main, where every match up sucks. but yeah, nyo does way better at the mid range in comparison to Jann lee, which is why during that match up id rather get hit with 66k than block it a deal with the mix up afterwards
She has a lot of potential though, specially now that she's getting buffed.
And like I said in my first comment, that will work against people who suck at spacing, do that against a decent Jann Lee, you'll be putting yourself in a mid to full screen vortex. Take the mixup and respond accordingly, Jann Lee's pressure isn't the greatest.
so rather than run from the mix up i should take it and punish? That makes sense, and your right Jann doesn't have the greatest pressure, it's just that reacting to those situations can get a little dicey online, that combined with my not-so-great-reactions ppl get away with a lot of stuff on me
