blocking heavy/mediums, and special will cause grey damage, think it's been that way since day one, they don't want you blocking in street fighter, so press dem buttons
im fuzzy on the details, but i remember the sfv development team saying they made this change because they thought blocking was boring and they wanted to make the game more exciting to watch, so now you can't just sit and block all day, you gotta be more offensive if you want to avoid taking damage
I remember netherealm saying the same thing during mkx development, which is why defense is even more useless in mkx than it was in previous titles, but none of these games hold a candle to nitroplus blasterz, friggin 30% chip damage combos -_-
Hmmmmm.... I want to Disagree but I've never seen Anyone Block anything in any fighting game for longer than 7 seconds....
Unlike DoA and VF... most 2D Fighting games have full damage combos from Low Attacks or Overheads.... really if one can't get passed anyone's Blocking in these games its their own fault.
I also get the Impression that Developers are now designing their games with Spectators and Streaming in mind right down to the game's core gameplay.... I consider K.I. to be a damn good game but gosh its so boring to watch compared to something like Mortal Kombat.
