Eh, wasn't really feeling Dark Souls. Combat is way too sluggish and laggy, and just spammed magic lol. Nioh actually feels like a proper hack n' slash game.
I was actually just playing Bloodborne last week, waiting for Nioh. It's bad to play From Software's games after you've tasted Nioh. They play like crap.
Bloodborne is much more formulaic. The game ditched the blocking mechanic, so it relies purely on reactive dodging, which I kind of like. Difference between Souls games and Nioh, is weight, Nioh is extremely liberal with its movement.
Bloodborne was a step in the right direction from the Souls games, by focusing a bit more on spacing, though the gameplay still felt a bit sluggish and meh. Nioh's gameplay seems miles more polished in comparison. It also looks miles better in comparison visually too. But, yeah, meter management is just as important in Nioh lol.
A single step away from the center of an ocean of trash is still garbage. I really think that the only reason the Souls games are so popular is because they're hard and have deliberately terrible game structure.
