that's y u gotta kbd bro! although in some cases it doesnt work, i just made the sad discovery that if nyo lands a hold (minus aerial punches and kicks), she cannot backdash out of the opponents WU attack range fast enough, even with kbd (but nyo kbd is garbage anyway)

@Camel with 2 thumbs - I mean I always KBD to some degree. It's that the game somehow wants to enable you to get hit from a odd situation that looks like it didn't even touch you. I am unsure if WUK has this absurd extra leg reach that isn't actually seeable. The sad part about it is that it's considered a CH so initially it's a free stun.

her options for punishing WU pretty much comes down to her 7pp or 9p, if they mash it on wake up she land 7pp for free , if they roll forward and then WU kick she can 9p over them and get back hits for free, it's finicky but it's all she's got

@Brute It's even worse when I play Leon or Raidou when you want to time the whiff while they are still recovering and you get hit from a distance that doesn't even look like it's suppose to hit. Raidou is just hilarious, you might as well just walk backwards since it looks like it's faster compared to a standard back dash.

@DestructionBomb i think it's character dependent, lord knows kasumi has clipped me with some WU kicks when i was pretty dam sure we weren't even in the same zip code

Happens way too many times, and it often leads to my opponent getting their offense started again over me...

^ This. And it's for free too from a simple mistime or bad buffering all over. You can literally get bursted from one WUK as a starting offense. Even cases where you have a setup that eliminates WUKs by reducing the advantage off invincibility and time it the moment they are on the floor but can whiff yet it works within training mode.

That seems to be my own weakness regarding DOA so far. The animation for when they tech up can occasionally throw me off, or lay on the floor while mixing up this hard to see animation in trying to tell if it's the mid wake up kick or the low kick. But yet both of them have oddities of hitting you in odd distances that doesn't look like it's suppose to hit.

Even worse, trying to get it spot on for when they tech up and they are still in the invincible state while you whiff your jab or mid completely as they are rising and they hit you with their standing offense.
