it depends, can you find a good job where you live? ´do you have a chance of making career and getting raises in the future? all that matters.

I'll give you a bit of background, so i don't sound like i'm trying to be smart. I moved about a year and 2 months ago, to a a complete different state where i lived, in a country town, just so i could try to get a job, because i was for 1 year unemployed, since then, i got 2 raises, and i don't regret moving here.

if you feel like you don't have a good enough reason to leave, don't. if he keeps bringing it up its probably cause he needs you more than you need him, that's my read on the situation. that or he's one of those in laws who keeps trying to be "nice" by constantly offering you shit you didn't ask for

well i'm TOLD They give raises yearly, it's a good career path, etc etc. Thing is, I don't want to do that job (masonwork) as a career, and I already work a part time minwage job that's about to take me on full time and give me a raise for my first year. If I still lived up there i'd JUMP on the job offer.

Also he says interview would be tuesday and job would be ASAP. I can't just drop everything and move up there like that on such short notice. I've struggled for the past 5 years to get myself settled down here and I don't wanna have to start from scratch by moving back north for a SECOND time.

@Brute well i'd like to get back into game design/animation but that's not gonna happen due to lack of funds to go back to school. For the moment i'm trying to get a job with computers (I'm SO SICK of warehouse and janitorial work)
