Well it's not like you have to get one while they're still in production. There'll always be some up on eBay, Craigslist, etc. Stay away from Super Slims though. You can't mod those things for shit.
Honestly, its worth getting just to play some of those PSN classics. I've been replaying the Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha games along with Persona 3 FES recently.
