dude have you played mvc:i? that game has command normals for days (ryu has more air normals than he knows what to do with), which i think is a weird decision for a chain combo game

Makoto is a character in the street fighter games that has command normals for every button, Makoto is awesome

it just means having more options to toy with, some of which are easy to figure out (ms marvel and nemesis), others not so much (looking at haggars command normals alot at first glance seem useless, hopefully i;ll be proven wrong down the line)

Hey, since I am working on a small project myself, can you elaborate on your feelings towards command normal strings on 2D fighting games? I just want to confirm some details from a competitive perspective.

You can help me narrow down one thing. Are the Combos in MvC Dialed in like MKX or more Real time like Skullgirls ?

it's mvc style, you can't just dial in the whole thing, sip tea, come back and have the whole string performed, there is actually some timing involved, if you mash too fast you'll skip inputs and ruin the combo
