Before Hayabusa can get a rival they should change the image he has of “super ninja” yes, he’s a very skilled and strong ninja but why does he need to be labeled as the strongest ninja. Everyone has a weakness so idk why they’re excluding Hayabusa from that department.

But why? Hayabusa doesn't need a rival. Having a rival doesn't automatically make a more interesting or compelling character, especially in a medium (fighting games) that is already over-saturated with the trope.

@Brute you’re right he doesn’t need one, but the whole “I’m the super ninja I’m the strongest person in the world” is getting tiring. Everyone in the game has a rival except Hayabusa.

Are you referring to Marie/Honoka or Ryu/Nyo? I was referring to the former, because they hardly interact with each other and when they do, it's in an amiable, non-competitive fashion. They seem to be friends rather than rivals.

I mean, you'd probably get a better market approach if they added a NiOh character since Yaiba was released before DOA5LR was a thing and may be minimal for promoting DOA. Still think a good bet is Hanzo or Okatsu from NiOh for the sequel, or fighting game characters.

@King Anubis That is because of the Ninja Gaiden series, Ryu is a a super human type of character and he has to deal with threats that could destroy the entire planet and so on, so he needs to be a super, though the other ninjas are also on super human levels, they're not on ryu level.

Just to be clear, the super ninja clearly says "I have no weaknesses" and last time I checked the strongest in the world isn't Hayabusa, it's Leon.
