Did you hear about the PS3 Emulator that got a threatning email from Sony.... they forced them to Cease Developement.

Haven't heard about that one. Emulating a PS3 seems a bit too early when I last checked about that. Surprised on Sony for that one since they never said anything when PS2 was emulated, so why now.

No idea.... obviously there are still a couple PS3s on store shelves and maybe Sony could use the spare change.... but its difficult to say.

Emulators are pretty much the one and only method of Preserving Games as the generations go by. Without them, a good chunk of history would be lost.

Is there any way to establish an online connection with another user on the emulator?

Ah hm, haven't tried that yet. It doesn't seem like it has any online function (least with the latest one I downloaded). It's still pretty new, last time I tried DOAD via the emulator (month ago), it was unstable, glitchy, freezes, slowdowns etc. Now? it's a bit better. The matches are running at stable FPS but the character select screen and main menu runs pretty slow.

Other games I've tried work 95-99% of the time.

How is the FPS? DOAD could run 60FPS on a 3DS if the 3D was disabled.

It's running at 59-60fps. Occasional drops here and there (50-55-59). I could be quite clueless in this but I don't see a 3D option in (is that's something that's automatically disabled even on first go? curious). It's pretty limited in options as well, don't see a graphics output nor FXAA.

There is definitely slow downs on the main menu and character select screen. Literally 40-48fps. Training mode runs pretty solid, but I'm also limited on controls as the emulator hasn't added a control feature to use stick/pad. Stuck on Keyboard mode pretty much.

3D toggle wasn't an in-game option. There's a little slider on the 3DS itself that raises or lowers the 3D effect depending on how you set it. If the slider is all the way down, the 3D is off completely.

You definitely won't see the option for 3D toggle within the game. It'd have to be an option in the emulator itself.

You don't want to play DOAD with 3D enabled though. It cuts the frame rate in half.
