told myself i wasn't gonna buy a wii u just for bayo 2, then breath of the wild came out and i was like, well alright now. Now im the EXACT same position as before, I'm not gonna buy a switch just for bayo 3, and frankly there isn't anything else switch exclusive that i'm even remotely interested in
Indeed. I know what you mean dude. I bought the Wii U for Bayonetta 2, and eventually sold off the system 8 months later due to lack of appealing software. The Switch situation seems very similar to that in the sense that there's maybe 1 or 2 games I may try, but overall it's feeling like Bayonetta 3 is being held hostage on that system or something.
Platinum Games should stop the exclusivity despite Nintendo paying it to make it exclusive. Bayonetta 1 was pretty good until the shift in platform sole payment. If anything, maybe they could work on a game series made by them that's for the PS4/XB1 and PC. Something similar to DMC1 and DMC3.
Wouldn't make a difference or sense at the time. Bayonetta 1 was on Xbox 360 and PS3 only and no Nintendo systems because the Wii was vastly inferior tech & power-wise. Bayonetta 2 being exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U feels like a slap in the face to 360/PS3 gamers that don't intend to buy a system just to play that one game. But yes, I feel that SEGA made a misstep by transferring publishing rights to Nintendo.
