well, you could always sell off your console, invest in a ton of old games and old consoles, and be one of those ppl who don't play anything past the xbox/ps2 era

LoL... I don't think thats the right way to go...

I just need gotta choose more carefully... it would be helpful if I knew someone who liked exactly what I like.

So, devs don't have a right to make money off their games and should just work for free...? Do you know how much modern game design costs? Especially AAA.

That seems like a bit of a generalization to me. Some companies, like EA, Warner, Activision, are way worse than others.

What on earth are you on about ?

Actually I have nothing against those companies... They never tricked me into any shady shit I didn't want to get involved in. LoL... I'm not one of those people who buys every CoD expecting it to be different.

You implied that devs "have the nerve to charge you" [for playing their games], and I replied "So, devs don't have a right to make money off their games and should just work for free?"

Seems pretty straightforward.

As for Modern game design vs. Retro game design. Both styles have good elements and bad elements.

For instance, most modern games' visuals, audio, narrative, controls and presentation styles are miles better than that of most retro games, however most retro games (generally around the PS1/N64 era/Generation 5/6ish) tend to have better core game content (generally because online gaming wasn't a thing then).

Neither is inherently better than the other. Preference is mostly subjective.
