I believe it was just older players who lost interest in the game. Even though my entire practice regime consisted of 4 ranked games on PC, I still entered. I think it may be a case of some people having too much pride to show up and get their asses handed to them, but who knows. I can also...
Great tournament and turnout guys. Was nice to see so many people competing, and organizers who really cared about the players and the scene. Sorry to leave early, but I had a great time and will keep showing up to support the scene any way I can.
Any word on how to sign up for the DOA tournament at Evo or who is hosting it? The tournament is drawing near and I would at least like to sign up to show support for the community.
Also, if this isn't in the right forum, whoops.
Pee before your match and be sure to do button checks/get used to the television you are playing on. Those are pretty big mistakes a lot of people, myself included, make often.
If anyone wants casuals anytime before and after let me know. I'll be practicing USF4 mainly, but I'm up for anything. Anyone between Stockton and Sac let me know if you need a ride.
Just signed up for this and USF4. If anyone has a spare ps4 controller I could use for it, that would be great. If not, guess I'm stuck buying one. See everyone there.
Registered here just to mention this:
With DOA out of the evo list, will anyone be holding a side tournament? I will be in Vegas at that time, so I will probably compete in evo for Street Fighter, but wouldn't mind joining a DOA tournament as well.
