NyoTengu doodle.
I'd be lying if I said I liked Bankotsubo as a character. Nyo-Chan's Kabuki/Ojou-sama personality interests me a lot more.

Very nice drawing Kodachi!! :D I like both characters but I agree their personalities are completely different. They're both arrogant (at least Nyo gives off that vibe) but Bankotsubo had the mindset that he was superior to everything in this universe and wanted to crush anything that got in his way whereas Nyo seems to enjoy humans (if only to play with them. :p)

I redesigned Phase-4 to individualize her and to give her character.
I had an XNA pic regarding it, but I won't post it here.
But here is what she looks like in fanart, as my redesign:

I have recently started playing with clay, which has lead to making this little Hayabusa (and a number of his accessories). I kept it "cute" to make it easier and quicker. I also started another one that is much more simple. As I am new to clay and bit off too much with this. I hope to paint it through the week and will post more photos once I do finish it. What do you guys think?

LMFAO thats awesome.

if possible could you possibly bend the arms downward more? since you cant really do poses the more relaxed you get it to look the better

Yes, well maybe. Right now his arms are balancing him, keeping him up lol. And it also makes it easier for his weapons. Though, I will play with it more, for sure. :)

I knowingly double posted to bump this thread, sorry @Brute and all mods, please fix if needed.
I spent my Friday night painting my Hayabusa. I was kind of rushing so I just kept the same pose, for ease. Here are some new pictures (The Dragon sword handle is removable). I am now working on some Ninja Gaiden items for him.

Just found this thread. Posting my doodles and sketches, starting with a brand new one.

Tired doodle of the only conceivable way Mila would wind up in that stupid string bikini.

Man that's Guilty Gear level quality... I'd love to try sprite art sometime, any tips or resources you can recommend?

Thank you for the compliments. This was my starting point http://2dwillneverdie.com/tutorial/a-basic-sprite-tutorial/. It was really helpful to get the outline done. I don't know if I liked his coloring and shading technique, but it was a good way to get a solid base base and tweak it.

Basically I just used my capture gear to get a pose I liked off DOA5U.

Then I loaded it into photoshop and traced over her outline with like a 4 or 5 pixel brush. Then I used that site's technique to get the 1 x 1 lineart.

I made her face a little more anime-like because I was having a hard time making the in game face look good at a low resolution.
Then I filled in the flat colors and used his technique to get shading, but it's kind of a confusing process. Admittedly I used Motoko from Blazblue as the reference for skin tones, because I am terrible with skin tones. For color and size I did reference BlazBlue sprites a lot.

To color the outline I locked transparent pixels on the layer settings...that way you don't draw extra, you just change the color of the line.
